Energy saving is now an urgent need, or at least so says the Department of Energy Federal Government to promote the new Norma Oficial Mexicana (NOM) for the production and marketing of lamps and saving bulbs, which measure estimates that will save a lot of energy.
The program will begin with the elimination of incandescent bulbs of 100 watts for December 2011. A year later he removed the light bulbs 60 and 70 watts, calculated that by 2013 already have eliminated all traditional sources of all households.
Important information for consumers interested in the issue is that the life of an incandescent bulb is about a thousand hours of life, while saving light bulbs above the average figure eight times, having a duration of 8000 hours of life.
The program to replace incandescent lamps represent a cost saving of 875 000 000 520 000 pesos to the Secretary of Energy, which is close to the dependence of the budget increase for next year. The measure is aimed at residential consumers, which accounts for 87.9% of users nationwide (28 million 479 000 600), and 25% of electricity consumption in the country.
